Timing the singularity

An interesting post which gives an overview of the singularity discussion as well as gives some nice illustrations of how to think about it. Really worth reading!

this is an interesting post about when the point of singularity will occur. However something that bothers me about this post is the author never goes into detail about why he believes having 50% of the GDP be tied to Computing will be the final straw needed to push us into a world with human-surpassing artificial intelligence. Perhaps he knows something I do not about that being one of the important factors leading to world changing developments. Either way its a good article and you should check it out.
