Dear Sony,
please invest in stronger screws so that they do not strip when I try to remove screws that are intended to be removed.

also, it sucks that customer service has gone the way of “well its cheaper to pay someone to listen to our customers bitch about how much our product sucks than actually fix it so thats what we will do!”

Next Data Input Method?
Pen - Slow, private, tedious
Keyboard - Fast, private, less tedious
Voice-To-Text - Faster, more public, high potential for error(currently)
???
or maybe text will not be the main form of data storage… wouldn’t it be nice if video was the normal standard so we could visually see what was being described? would this hinder creativity?
or what if we didn’t have to input data...
my negative attitude towards the iPad
so some people have commented on what a negative attitude I have shown for the iPad saying that it is unjustified and that the iPad is a remarkable device.
This is true. It is a remarkable device. However, my frustration stems from the fact that Apple had an opportunity to make it so much more and this is the first time, in my opinion, that they have failed to take advantage of this opportunity....

Apple Tablet
OK. I am putting this in publicly available writing in an attempt to strengthen my own will power.
I WILL NOT BUY AN APPLE TABLET DURING THE MONTH OF FEB., MAR. or APRIL.
I purchased an iphone the day it came out (whoa! 5 am - 6 pm wait time!) and subsequently went through 8 original iphones due to faulty hardware. The issue with first generation products is that they need people to test...

New API features for application developers
staff:
Just added to the Tumblr API:
Create drafts, queued posts, and submissions.
Specify a custom URL slug.
Send custom messages to Twitter with new posts.
See the API documentation for details.
Awesome! new API features!
grrr… the implementation for allowing for queueing by default is now in place but yet not a preference option.
Most Popular Book in the Library?
While sitting in the library for the past 6 hours something occurred to me (perhaps I am the only one interested in this information but I doubt that I am that original): what books get used most often in this library?
From that followed the idea of how to track that information…
At least in this library instead of re-shelving the books there are designated book return shelves and then...

Hot on the heels of the story in Publisher’s Weekly that “publishers could be losing out on as much $3 billion to online book piracy” comes a sudden realization of a much larger threat to the viability of the book industry. Apparently, over 2 billion books were “loaned” last year by a cabal of organizations found in nearly every American city and town. Using the...
